After owning SkyRose Ranch for several years, Mr. Hughes became aware that 23 US veterans were dying by suicide each and every day. As a result he teamed up with Chad Robichaux, Founder of the Mighty Oaks Warrior Project. The lodge, built by the previous owner, had fallen into disrepair and was updated and rebuilt to serve as a retreat center. Mighty Oaks and Serving USA now host over 22 retreats each year ministering to not only combat vets but also first responders and wives of both. Participants stay at the lodge at no cost for up to a one week stay. To date over 3,000 men and women have come to SRR for ministry and healing. SkyRose Ranch is honored to host these individuals who have given so much for the freedom and safety we enjoy.
All profits from our beef sales go to support the Mighty Oaks Foundation.
