WHOLESALE Beef

  • THE CATTLE

The base of our cattle herd begins with Black Angus cows. With these cows, we incorporate Hereford and Akaushi influences. While we emphasize improving carcass traits and feed efficiency, we insure that we raise the best possible females to fit our environment to become the next generation of mother cows. The animals we keep for harvest spend more than 2/3 of their lives grazing freely on native grasses and the remainder in spacious feedlots. While in the feedlot, the cattle are fed a special diet to enhance the flavor of the beef by adding fat in all the right places.

The feed ration is free of antibiotics, hormones, and animal proteins, which qualifies them as all natural, hormone free, and 100% vegetarian.

  • Grazing

The grazing program at the Ranch works hand in hand with our wildlife management. The cattle are able to roam free, but we control where they go and how long they are there. This allows us to monitor our land, careful not to over stock or over graze a particular area. This works in synch with the hunting operation, making sure there is abundant feed left for wildlife when cattle are moved.
